Pecorino

Grown in the white wine zone of Chieti, on hillside slopes at about 300 meters above sea level, Pecorino is an early ripening variety. The grapes are hand-picked in the 2nd week of September.

This is a very fresh style of Pecorino, zinging with lively citrus acidity, notes of tropical fruits and certain minerality, which gives the wine a lovely balance.

A winning match for calamari salads. Or, somewhat coincidentally, very agreeable with pecorino cheese drizzled in a little honey.
