The seductive Vega hails from the steep terraced vineyards of the Douro Valley (home to the great Port houses) and is a sturdy table wine blended from three of the region`s most noted varieties.

It is rich, full bodied & complex while remaining very smooth in the mouth. Aromas of plum & cherry meld with mineral elements on the palate followed by a firm grip of tannins, typical of the region.

A great match with pates, lamb or pork casseroles, roast red meats, game or strong cheeses.

The demarcated region for Port wine follows the steep, winding river of the Douro. The region for centuries has had a history of viticulture created in harsh conditions, constantly fighting with the natural geography of the land. The region was founded in 1756 by the then Prime Minister, making the Douro region one of the oldest demarcated wine regions in the world.
