Chianti Riserva Volpetto 2008

This is a wonderful expression of Sangiovese, Chianti's noble grape variety.  The wine has a ruby colour of great clarity and depth.  The complex aroma features dark berry fruits and spices.  The palate shows good balance between the fruit and tannins, making a sophisticated yet approachable wine.  Ideal with meats game and cheeses.
