Geoff Merrill Reserve Chardonnay 2006

From the McLaren Vale the 2004 vintage has been one of the better vintages of recent times in South Australia. Good flavour concentration and balance typify this vintage. Parcels of fruit were fermented and aged in brand new French oak for 8 months without malolactic fermentation, at which time each barrel was tasted and then the very best was selected for the Reserve blend prior to immediate bottling and cellaring for 4 years prior to release.
