Geoff Merrill Reserve Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon 2004

The wine displays typical mint leaf aromas integrated with cedar, cigar box and toasted oak over a rich palate and a long lingering tannin finish. Each year since 1980 the premium fruit from the Coonawarra vineyards has been identified for limited production to represent the best Cabernet Sauvignon of the vintage. The juice was then barrel fermented and aged in French and American oak casks prior to selecting the superior barrels for blending and bottling. Bottle ageing prior to release presents this wine for the table or equally the cellar where the complex structure will continue to benefit from medium to long term maturation.
